Employee Culture
As a business, there are two things that are more important to us than anything else: (i) maintaining our reputation for offering outstanding service to our clients and (ii) providing an environment where our people (our most important assets) can realise their career aspirations while having a lot of fun along the way.
We recognise that our continued success is dependent on the professionalism, commitment, skill and enthusiasm of our people; that is precisely why we employ only the highest calibre individuals - and work hard to retain them.
Our culture is based on mutual trust, respect and a set of core values that permeates through the whole company. We don’t stand on ceremony and we abhor politics, egos and prima donnas. Everybody has a voice and the opportunity to contribute ideas that will help improve the working environment or the service we provide to our clients.
We achieve our unique vision in a number of ways:
- Individual opinions are important and regular communication of information is considered a priority to strengthen our ability to work together effectively as a team. The Managing Director hosts regular ‘all company‘ conference calls to update all employees on the business‘ latest performance, ideas and strategy. For consultants specifically, there are frequent meetings to allow information exchange, swap ideas, discuss accounts, career aspirations or technical issues.
- Individuals also benefit from a structured appraisal system encompassing regular reviews, career planning, training and measurement of skills growth.
- Hard work and dedication is rewarded through initiatives such as our Employee Recognition Scheme which is driven by nominations from peers and colleagues and designed to reward outstanding performance.
- We enjoy ourselves and have fun by encouraging employees to get together as often as possible through regular social events. Recent events included a weekend away at a hotel in Kent with partners, where we exclusively hired a professional outdoor go-karting race track. Last Christmas, all our staff and their partners took over a whole carriage on the new fast Eurostar from St. Pancras and went to Brussels for the weekend. Check out our employee blog for more of what we get up to. We also operate an ‘employee of the quarter’ scheme, where 3 or 4 people are nominated by their peers to participate in some fun activity, this could be anything from taking a trial lesson in a helicopter or driving a Chieftain tank – or even a weekend skiing!
- We like to be the best at everything we do and we don’t share the typical ‘DNA’ that exists in most other companies. We work hard to make Business Agility a fun, flexible and very rewarding place to work, as well as providing an environment to challenge and grow your skills in a wide variety of different situations.
