You will be part of a talented software development team that works on mission-critical applications. The Java developer responsibilities include developing and configuring Java/Java EE applications while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing.

Required Skills:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

We are looking for individuals with sound Engagement Management skills, gained working within the insurance industry. Suitable candidates should have experience of people and project management, as well as a clear understanding of the entire claims lifecycle and the Agile Delivery Methodology.

This role requires an exceptional level of professionalism and an excellent command of the English language.  The successful candidate will be a Team Player with charisma, be polished and confident, pragmatic and have the ability to communicate clearly and articulately with their colleagues, as well as with the various levels of management within the client organisation.  Being conscientious, self-motivated and maintaining a positive attitude, having the experience to manage realistic client expectations and earn the respect of the client, will be key requirements. He/she will be required to participate/host client presentations meetings, as well as contribute to pre-sales and project delivery material. The Engagement Manager will be expected to motivate the One Team to drive change and adopt all the core principles of the Agile methodology. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Working closely with internal and external C-level Executives, Business Managers, Subject Matter Experts, senior Project and solution team members, including Business Analysts, Developers and Testers.
  • Closely manage our portfolio of projects from inception to closure in line with the processes and procedures in place.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones/deliverables and resource requirements using the appropriate tools and identify the impact across the organisation.
  • Effectively engage with clients to manage programme expectations in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Closely monitor, manage and communicate key programme milestones, burn down charts, project RAID logs and escalation points and support the management of any issues, ensuring all stakeholders are satisfied.

Guidewire Configuration Developer (Posted: 30/04/2016)

We are looking for individuals with sound Business Analysis skills combined with a technical development background, gained working within the insurance industry.

Prior people management experience would be viewed favourably as well.

The configuration role requires a blend of technical ability and analysis (approx. 50:50). The candidate needs to be able to understand the requirements defined by the client and interpret these into working software. All our consultants are fully trained on the system and before joining and being supported by the delivery team on client site.

You must have successfully delivered several projects and have previous experience of:

  1. Partnering with client business teams to understand business objectives
  2. Developing an overall configuration approach for the client
  3. Producing requirement and functional design documents
  4. Estimating the effort required to configure the environment
  5. Configuring a Policy Administration system to solve customer business challenges
  6. Identifying opportunities to meet customer business objectives using business logic and configuring applications to meet those objectives
  7. Demonstrating developed features to the wider project team and key stakeholders
  8. Supporting the planning of system/integration testing and user acceptance testing of customer solutions
  9. Supporting execution of system/integration tests, including monitoring software incidents and communicating software issues

In addition the configurator role requires technical skills with experience of:
