With a hybrid environment of SharePoint 2016 On Premises and Office 365 being utilised, the majority of Altro’s extensive workforce relies on these platforms to run and manage various technical customer projects across the globe.

Typical projects involve various stakeholders; architects, customers, engineers, designers, etc – all needing to collaborate across multiple locations. This disparate set-up is unavoidable, so a reliable technical infrastructure is critical to the success of these team-orientated projects.

To ensure the smooth running of the platforms supporting these robust processes and workloads, Altro needed expert technical help and support. The chosen support partner would need to share Altro’s ethos of strong scalable solutions and a high level of customer service. The solution

Altro selected Business Agility after attending one of its SharePoint seminars and several one to one meetings as it had seen the Microsoft Gold Partner’s expertise first hand.

Flexible, high-level support was a key driver for the manufacturer, and with a disparate set-up, it was hugely beneficial being able to access expertise from a provider who understood the type of processes and systems at play.

As part of this support engagement, Business Agility performed a health check on its current infrastructure. This enabled its consultants to give an unbiased evaluation of the current systems and processes and make recommendations where needed. These recommendations included a review on governance, best practice, security and more.

Results

Altro also leveraged Business Agility’s expertise for development work and introduced next level Business Intelligence reporting (through Power BI) – which is seeing its SharePoint environment continue to grow in strength and consistently develop new processes to support Altro.

Business Agility’s Burndown Support solution gives Altro monthly reports and scheduled reviews on the service provided. Other Burndown support benefits included advice and guidance on future upgrade considerations, versioning and compatibility checks, and guidance on both technical and business-related issues.
